DESCRIPTION AMPICILLIN is a broad spectrum antibiotic acting
against gram -ve bacteria. Colistin is a polypeptide
antibiotic acting against gram negative bacteria.
Ampicillin and Colistin have an agonistic effect. INDICATIONS
AMPICO is indicated in bacterial infections in poultry
which caused by E.coli, Clostridia, Salmonella, Proteus, &
Corynebacteria. It is effective in the treatment of
diarrhea, intestinal infections and toxicity cases caused by
Salmonella in large animals.
DOSAGE
Poultry:
100 gm / 200 liters of
drinking water for 5 days.
Prevention :
Half the treatment dose.
Large Animals :
20 mg / kg B.W. for 4-5 days in drinking water or
milk.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Don't use animal products during & after last treatment for
4 days.
