COMPOSITION
Each 1 gm. contains:
Ampicillin Trihydrate       230 mg
Colistin (Sulphate)            500,000 I.U
PROPERTIES
Ampicillin is a broad spectrum antibiotic active against gram +ve and –ve bacteria,Colistin is a polypeptide antibiotic acting against gram –ve bacteria,Ampicillin and Colistin have an agonistic effect.
INDICATIONS
Ampico is indicated in bacterial infections in poultry which caused by E.Coli, Clostridia, Salmonella, Proteus and Corynebacteria. It is effective in the treatment of diarrhea , intestinal infections and Salmonella toxicity cases in Sheep, Goats, Calves and Foals.
DOSAGE
Poultry: 100 gm/200 liters of drinking water for 5 days.
Sheep: 20 mg/ Kg body weight for 4-5 days in drinking water.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Stop treatment 3 days prior slaughter.
