COMPOSITION
Each 1 gm. contains:
Colistin (as Sulphate)    6,000,000 I.U
PROPERTIES
Colistin is a Polypeptide broad spectrum antibiotic with a bactericidal action against most gram –ve bacteria,It has a strong local action due to its poor absorption from the GIT.
INDICATIONS
Colistin 6M is indicated in case of infections caused by E.Coli, Salmonella, Klebseilla and Pseudomonas in poultry and lambs. Colistin 6M is used in cases of diarrhea.
DOSAGE
Poultry: 10 gm/200 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Lambs and Calves: 0.1 gm/ 10 Kg body weight for 3-6 days.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Stop treatment for 5 days before slaughter.
