COMPOSITION
Each 1 ml contains:
Colistin (as Sulphate)    2,000,000 I.U
PROPERTIES
Colistin is a Polypeptide broad spectrum antibiotic with a bactericidal action against most gram –ve bacteria.
It has a strong local action due to its poor absorption from the GIT.
INDICATIONS
Colistin -L is indicated in case of infections caused by E.Coli, Salmonella, Klebseilla and Pseudomonas in poultry and lambs. Colistin -L is used in cases of diarrhea.
DOSAGE
Poultry: 1 ml/4 liters of drinking water for 3 days.
Lambs and Calves: 1 ml / 4 Kg body weight for 3-4 days.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Stop treatment for 5 days before slaughter.
