COMPOSITION
Each 1 ml contains:
Enrofloxacin     200 mg
PROPERTIES
Jotril 20% is the specific trade name of Enrofloxacin, a chemotherapeutic agent which belongs to Fluoroquinolone carboxylic acid. It is rapidly and almost completely absorbed from the GIT with peak plasma concentration occurring in about ½ – 2 hours. Enrofloxacin doesn’t show cross resistance with other antimicrobials like B-Lactams, Tetracycline, Macrolides, Sulphonamides, Trimethoprim and Nitrofuran derivatives.
INDICATIONS
Jotril 20% is indicated for the treatment of infections from gram –ve bacteria such as E.Coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Klebsiella and gram +ve bacteria as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Corynebacteria, Clostridia, Listeria and Mycoplasma species i.e. M.Gallisepticum, M.Synoviae and M.Melegridis.
DOSAGE
Poultry: 50 ml/ 200 liter of drinking water for 3 days in common infections and for 5 days in Salmonella and Staph. aureus infections.
Calves and Sheep: 0.5 ml/20 kg body weight. For the first 24 hours, then half dose for 3-4 days.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Don’t use animal products for 5 days after last treatment.
