Doxycycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic active
against gram+ve and gram-ve bacteria, some large viruses and
Mycoplasma and it is completely absorbed from the G.I.T.
Colistin is poorly absorbed from the G.I.T and active
against gram-ve bacteria.
INDICATIONS
For prevention and treatment of infections caused by gram-ve
and +ve bacteria i.e E.coli, Salmonella. Also it is advised
in cases of intestinal infection.
DOSAGE
Poultry:
Prevention :
50 gm/ 200 liters of drinking water for 5 days.
Treatment :
gm/200 liters of drinking water for 5 days.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not give for layers or in kidney failure cases..
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Do not use animal products during and after last treatment
for 2 days.
