DESCRIPTION
JOTRIL 10%
is the specific trade name of Enrofloxacin, a
chemotherapeutic agent, which belongs to fluoroquinolone
carboxylic acid derivatives. It is rapidly and almost
completely absorbed from the GIT with peak plasma
concentration occuring in about 1/2 - 2 hours.
Enrofloxacin does not show cross resistance with
other antimicrobials like B-Lactams, Tetracyclines,
Macrolides, Sulphonamides, Trimethoprim and Nitrofuran
derivatives.

INDICATIONS
JOTRIL 10% can be used in all common poultry and
ruminants infections with gram negative bacteria as E.coli,
Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Klebsiella and with
gram positive bacteria as Staph., Strep., Corynebacteria,
Clostridia, Listeria and Mycoplasma species as
M.Gallisepticum, M. Synoviae and M. meleagridis. |

DOSAGE |
|
Poultry: |
JOTRIL is used for prevention and treatment
in a daily dose of 10 mg/kg b.w. or 100 ml/200
liters of drinking water for 3 days in common
infections and for five days in Salmonella and Staph.
aureus infections. |
Ruminants : |
1 ml/20 kg b.w. for the first 24 hours then half
dose for 3-4 days. |

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD |
|
Although Enrofloxacin is safe and has no residual or side
effects, it is prefered to stop treatment 5 days before
slaughtering. Do not use with other drugs. |
